In 2020, a key middle school in Wenzhou planned to carry out a modernization renovation of the main hall of the school building. This area is not only the main transportation hub for teachers and students every day, but also the core window for showcasing campus culture. The school authorities hoped to add an LED screen here, but faced multiple practical constraints: the hall is a public open space and cannot undergo large-scale construction; the screen needs to play campus news, honor roll, and student works on a daily basis, but during major events such as school anniversaries and art festivals, it also needs to instantly transform into a stunning display window; at the same time, it must ensure absolute safety during daily use and operational convenience.
Initially, the school considered the options of a TV wall and a projection system, but both had obvious limitations: multiple TVs connected together had severe black borders, which disrupted the overall visual effect; the projection performed extremely poorly in the bright light of the hall during the day. Although the traditional LED fixed screen had good picture quality, it would permanently occupy the central position of the hall, affecting the openness of the space and the daily flow of people. The school's director stated: "What we need is an intelligent device that can 'blend into' the hall, rather than 'occupy' it."
After conducting on-site surveys and multiple rounds of scheme evaluations, we proposed a creative solution for the FC 3.9 indoor foldable screen system.
Space Fusion Master: We utilized the original column structure of the hall to design the FC 3.9 as a "smart screen wall" that can be opened and closed. During regular classes, the screen can be folded and stored within the customized column device, blending seamlessly with the hall environment without affecting lighting or passage. When important events are to be held, the 60-square-meter large screen can be smoothly unfolded like a painting, instantly transforming the entire central hall into an immersive display space.
Smart Display Platform: The 3.9mm pixel pitch ensures a clear visual experience for both students viewing closely and people passing by from a distance in open spaces. In high-profile reception events, it can also display impactful full-screen dynamic content with great impact.
Campus Safety Model: Considering the particularity of the public areas on campus, we have implemented comprehensive security enhancements: The surface of the screens is treated with anti-glare technology to prevent light reflection from causing interference; all corners are made into rounded shapes for protection; the control system is equipped with multiple levels of management permissions to prevent accidental operations; all cables are concealed for wiring, eliminating potential safety hazards.
After the project was implemented, this intelligent screen wall quickly became the "cultural heart" of the school. Every morning, it greeted teachers and students with vibrant images; during breaks, it served as a knowledge-sharing platform for students to gather and communicate; during events, it transformed into the most dazzling background for the stage. School administrators expressed their gratitude: "It perfectly resolves the contradiction we faced of 'wanting openness and transparency, yet also wanting a sense of technology' and truly makes technology serve education."
This case has made us deeply realize that in a special environment like a school, the success of a technical solution does not lie in the level of parameters, but in the in-depth understanding of the educational scenario and the creative reconfiguration of spatial functions. We are committed to using flexible display technology to create smart space solutions for every school that have both technological warmth and humanistic care.
