What’s the specs of the flight cases, how many types do you have? Please give an example of how the foldable screen is packed into the flight case.

The minimum setup of a flight case is one layer, that is:

Bottom layer + Interlayer * 1 + Lid

If we need two layers to hold the screen, that is:

Bottom layer + Interlayer * 2 + Lid

The maximum setup is four layers, that is:

Bottom layer + Interlayer * 4 + Lid

Obviously, take a four-layer flight case for example:

The total weight is 27 + 11 * 4 + 7.8 = 78.8(kg)

The total dimension is 820 * 650 * (260 + 160 * 4 + 45) = 0.504(CBM)


Is flight case a must to pack the foldable screens? Is it possible to ship without them? What if I buy just a few samples, how are they packed?

Yes, flight case is obligatory because they are used to ship and store the foldable screens. If you only buy a few samples, we can offer carton box to pack them, but additional protection like crate outside of it is necessary. The carton specification is 810mm(L) * 650mm(W) * 195mm(H).

How is foldable screen packed?

Foldable screen is packed in flight cases. 

Is the dimension of the screen already set before shipping? Is it possible that I assemble the parts into the size I like by myself?

Procedurally speaking, we build the screen to the order, technically speaking, you can custom the size you like as long as the power supply unit can sustain. And you have more than enough parts and accessories in stock. Let’s say more sending cards and control boxes.

What do you mean by “semi-outdoor”?

This is an informal term, let’s say the screen is installed on a wall or a shop window with canopy or under the roof. It might be called “semi-outdoor” screen, generally speaking, the brightness and IP rating are higher than that of pure indoor.

What shall I provide to get a quote for my project from you?

Please specify the pitch, screen size(width and height), and usage(indoor or outdoor).

If one of the unit is dead, do I need to dismantle the whole screen to replace it? If direct maintenance is possible, what kind of maintenance can the product support? Front-access maintenance or rear

No need to dismantle the whole just to replace the parts, in-screen replacement is possible, as for the maintenance type supported, see below:

Does Slim Paste support hanging? Or must it be magnetically mounted?

It supports both. Please refer to Question 2.

What if the screen is vertically very short, and gravity fails to counteract magnetic force, will the units snap? Or some part of the screen snaps?

No, if this is the concern, we suggest installing fasteners sideways to tension the screen.

Given that the Slim Pro series has built-in magnet to keep the screen units aligned, what if I have the screen installed on a curved wall, will the magnets straighten the curved screen?

No, there are at least two reasons why it won’t happen: first off, the screen is installed by hanging on top, and the fasteners are also fixed to the curved surface, hence the screen will be also curved along the fasteners; second, even though the magnets do want to snap the adjacent units, the magnetic force will be counteracted by gravity.

Slim Paste series comes with magnets, so is Slim Pro series, what’s the difference?

The magnets in Slim Paste are used to mount or install on wall or ceiling, whereas the magnets located at four sides in Slim Pro are used to ensure surface alignment for all units(tiles).

Why there are different sizes of modules like 160*160mm,192*192mm,250*250mm instead of a universal design?

There is no specific reason why those unit(tiles) are the sizes they are. They are by-products of optimal structural design. The total LED number of a unit is usually powered number with 2 as base, a case in point, P6 is 32*32, and the pitch is 6mm, hence the unit size is 192mm*192mm. Strictly speaking, the unit size can be larger, but that’s not good for foldability.

Why there are two values for module thickness? Why there is an attached box in each module? What’s inside it? Is it possible to eliminate the box so that the module can be more slim?

Inside the box is the power supply unit which contains slightly bigger electric components. The independent box design ensures better cooling and keeps interference to a minimum.

How is foldable LED screen installed?

The screen is usually hanged on wall, building façade etc. The Slim Paste can also be magnet-mounted.

Why some modules are 360 degrees foldable, why some are 180 degrees foldable only?
